FREE DOWNLOAD: I Know Leopard - Lalia (2012)
Sounds like: Tame Impala, Film School

Australia seems to provide musicians with an especially fruitful earth. What other reason would explain that so many good musicians pop up in the creative biotopes of Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Brisbane and Co.?
Not an answer to this question but another proof for the fact that Australia’s metropoles are a magnificent musical source is the Sydney based group I Know Leopard. Kind of new on the scene, they deliver us splendid indie rock which sounds perfect for any sommer’s evening (I will not start to complain that here in Western Europe, there actually is no summer even if it statistically should be hot and nice outside - instead we have 16 degrees. But alas).
So, even if you may be surrounded by shitty weather, i.e. rain, hail, who knows, maybe there is a snow storm at you door and you’re dressed in a thermo jacket, this does not do any harm to the quality of this musical gem.
I Know Leopard do the loop from classic indie rock up to a colourful turn of a strong psychedelic part, just to juggle a bit more with distant chorals, catchy guitar melodies, and they do it quite skillfully. If you’re in your change of voice phase, be warned that all the people around you may start complaining as this song is heavily inviting to sing along.
And the best news is: Their song Lalia is available for free download via their soundcloud, so go and grap it.
Highly recommended!
